In a recent press conference, Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI) said efforts to pass the “Trauma Systems and Regionalization of Emergency Care Reauthorization Act” (S.2405) are gaining commitment from legislators. The bill would authorize appropriations for trauma care programs through FY2019. Sen. Reed introduced the Senate bill in May.
