Professional nurse possessing in depth knowledge and experience to meet the needs of the trauma patient. The Trauma Program Manager will work closely with the medical staff, administration, department heads and ancillary staff and nursing personnel to coordinate all aspects of trauma care. The program manager will be responsible for ensuring that the trauma services at Peterson Health are in constant compliance with DNV-GL and state regulations appropriate for the level of trauma designation maintained. The Program Manager will follow all Texas Department of State Health Services guidelines and requirements for trauma designation. The Manager will provide data entry support for the Trauma Registry and will be in compliance with all requirements of the TDH as outlined in the State Trauma rules. The Manager will also provide data needed for research and epidemiological studies. Has the authority and responsibility to monitor trauma patient care from ED admission through operative intervention ICU care, stabilization, rehabilitation care, and discharge including the trauma PI program.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing

Trauma Nurse Core Course, or Advanced Trauma course for nurses. Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nurse Pediatric course. Completion of a performance improvement course, Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement course or Trauma Coordinator Core Course (within 6 months of hire). Training with American Trauma Society in Injury Severity scoring or Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine.
Certified Emergency Nurse or Certified Critical Registered Nurse.
Recent Emergency Nurse or Critical Care Nurse for 3 years.
