The primary purpose of the Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator position is to assist with the planning, organizing, and implementation of the education programs targeting injury in the surrounding communities of The New Jersey Trauma Center at University Hospital. Identifies and promotes individual and public awareness of injury control and prevention needs and sound practices. Utilizes Hospital and community resources and strives toward injury control and prevention. Provides outreach support to pre-hospital emergency medical service agencies.
Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred) plus two (2) years of experience in trauma, emergency department or critical care environment, including health education experience. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for education requirements.
