Trauma Registrar's primary responsibility is to assure that complete and accurate data is collected and maintained for all trauma patients diagnosed and/or treated at ORMC Trauma Center as identified by the Trauma Score Card Methodology defined in Florida Administrative code.
Responsibility for obtaining, abstracting, correcting, and entering appropriate patient data both concurrently and retrospectively along with assigning Injury Severity Scores to all trauma patients at ORMC in order to maintain an accurate and concurrent trauma patient data base for the trauma program. In addition, responsibility for compiling statistics, preparing reports, generating reports on trauma populations, performing data searches for trauma related research projects.

American Trauma Society (ATS'9) Trauma Registry Course,
Injury Scaling - AAAM, & ICD 10
Trauma Registry Course (within 12 months of hire/transfer)
Less than 1 year of trauma registries or database systems
2 year Associate Degree
Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry (CSTR) & Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale (CAIS)
1 - 3 years of trauma registries or database systems experience
