Graduate of a medical school approved by American Medical Association required. Residency training required. Board certification in surgery required.
Required to have malpractice insurance for patient care activities. Required to have no pending malpractice suits. Practice of surgery required.Three or more years of experience in healthcare delivery with demonstrated leadership. Must have a working knowledge of hospital operations and be able to use an analytical approach. Organization ability and strong communication skills are required.
Current license to practice medicine in the State of Mississippi required. Member of Forrest General Hospital's active medical staff with privileges to practice required. Board certification in surgery required.
Maximum mental demands dealing with major trauma, the most sick surgical and trauma patients. Exceptional oral and written skills are required. The individual must have the ability to perform as a team member, cooperate with others, manage conflict, prioritize multiple tasks, exhibit leadership and demonstrate self-motivation.
